On or about June 20, 2019 the Village of Nunda will submit a request to the Office of Community Renewal for the release of CDBG funds under Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, to undertake a project known as the Village of Nunda Housing Rehab Program 2018 for the purpose of rehabilitating owner occupied housing units located on a scattered site basis within the Village. The project will utilize 500,000 of CDBG funding and the total project will cost $516,000.

The activities proposed are Categorically Excluded under HUD Regulations at 24 CFR Part 58 from National Environmental Policy Act Requirements. An Environmental Review Record (ERR) that documents the environmental determinations for this project is on file at the Village of Nunda, Clerk’s Office, 4 Massachusetts Street, Nunda, NY and may be examined or copied weekdays from 8:30AM to 4:00PM.

Public Comments

Any individual, group, or agency may submit written comments on the ERR to the Village of Nunda. All comments received by June 19, 2019 will be considered by the Village prior to submission of a request for release of funds.

Release of Funds

The Village of Nunda certifies to the Office of Community Renewal that Jack Morgan in his capacity as Mayor consents to accept the jurisdiction of the Federal Courts if an action is brought to enforce responsibilities in relation to the Environmental Review process and that these responsibilities have been satisfied. The Office of Community Renewal’s acceptance of the certification satisfies its responsibilities under NEPA and allows the Village of Nunda to use Program funds.

Objections to Release of Funds

The Office of Community Renewal will accept objections to its release of funds and the Village of Nunda’s certification for a period of fifteen days following the anticipated submission date or its actual receipt of the request (whichever is later) only on the following bases: (a) the certification was not executed by the certifying officer of the Village of Nunda; (b) the Village of Nunda has omitted a step or failed to make a decision or finding required by HUD regulations at 24 CFR part 58; (c) the grant recipient or other participants in the development process have committed funds, incurred costs, or undertaken activities not authorized by 24 CFR Part 58 before approval of release of funds by the Office of Community Renewal; or (d) another Federal agency acting pursuant to 40 CFR Part 1504 has submitted a written finding that the project is unsatisfactory from the standpoint of environmental quality. Objections must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the required procedures (24 CFR Part 58, Sec. 58.76) and shall be addressed to Christian Leo, President, at Office of Community Renewal, Hampton Plaza, 38-40 State Street, 4th Floor, Albany, NY 12207. Potential objectors should contact the Office of Community Renewal to verify the actual last day of the objection period.

I, LeRoy J. Wood, Village Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Nunda, Livingston County, New York have received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes levied for the fiscal year June 1, 2019 through May 31, 2020, and I will be present at the Village Clerk’s Office located in the Nunda Government Center, 4 Massachusetts Street, in said Village starting June 1, 2019 through July 1, 2019, except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon of each day for the purpose of receiving taxes
assessed upon such roll without penalty. On all taxes remaining unpaid after July 1, 2019, pursuant to Real Property Tax Law Section 1432 an interest charge will be added as follows: July 5%, August 6% and September 7%.TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that pursuant to the provisions of law the tax roll of the Village of Nunda will be returned to the County  Treasurer of the County of Livingston on the 1st day of October  2019.
